The Media Game has been in operation since 1999, supplying newsworthy audio and TV content to media organisations Australia-wide as quickly and efficiently as possible on behalf of leading PR agencies, sporting organisations and companies.

It is purely a media-only website, guaranteeing fresh content which is not available on public websites. By having a central point to access quality content, www.mediagame.com.au saves you valuable time and effort searching and navigating public or company websites.

WHAT FORMAT DO YOU SUPPLY THE CONTENT IN?

Our audio files are mp3s. Typically, we upload 3x15sec news grabs and/or a longer interview of approximately 2-3 minutes. We may also provide a voiced package which is also downloadable as an mp3 file.

WHAT DOES IT COST TO ACCESS?

Subscription and all content on the site is available FREE of charge to all legitimate media organisations and all content is available for unrestricted usage. The content, however, cannot be on-sold to any other organisations.

HOW DO I SUBSCRIBE AS A USER?

The subscription process takes less than two minutes. Just click on the subscribe now icon and follow the step-by-step process. You will also be asked whether you wish to receive email alerts, and for what categories. This allows us to make sure you only receive alerts to the stories you are interested in.

To verify your subscription, an email will be sent immediately to your inbox. All you need to do is click on the link, and once verified, you will have access to the site and content.

WHY DO I NEED TO SUBSCRIBE?

Our service is strictly for media only. Therefore, we need to verify that you are from a legitimate media organisation.

CAN I SET UP A GENERIC PASSWORD FOR OUR NEWS ROOM?

Most definitely. In fact we encourage it. This site is about making it as easy as possible for you to access content. We suggest setting up a generic news room account for your media organisation and then sticking the log-in and password details on the wall of the newsroom so everyone can easily access the site at any time.

DO I NEED TO LOG-IN EVERY TIME I GO TO THE SITE?

No. If you are using the same computer, the system should recognise you when you go to the site and when you click through from one of our email alerts. Or, just click the “remember me” tab at the top of the site.

WHY DON’T YOU JUST EMAIL US THE GRABS?

Most news rooms have sophisticated firewall and security systems that will block unsolicited attachments, such as audio and video files.

By having the content downloadable from a website, you are guaranteed that the content is virus free and from a trusted and known source.

We do, however, email blast the top 130 Metro Stations Australia-wide to guarantee all newsrooms receive the content.

HOW DO I KNOW WHEN NEW CONTENT IS PLACED ON THE SITE?

When you subscribed, you were asked to select categories you wish to receive email alerts for. When content is uploaded to our site, we then send out an email alert to those that have registered to receive information on that category.

CAN I ARRANGE AN INDIVIDUAL INTERVIEW WITH THE TALENT?

Most definitely. All our Radio News Releases include contact details for the talent and/or the company or PR organisation looking after the release. We recommend listening to the grabs on our site to decide whether the talent fits what you are looking for and then making contact directly to arrange your own interview
